The International Symposium on New Starting-point of China's Rural Reform Held in Haikou

In times of studying and carrying out the principle of the Third Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee of Our Party, the International Symposium on New Starting-point of China's Rural Reform: Equalization of Basic Public Services and Urban-rural Integration is held in Haikou on 6 Dec., jointly by CIRD and Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research (NIBR). The participants include the vice governor of Hainan Provincial People's Government Li Guoliang; the Standing Member and Vice Chairman, Subcommittee of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Standing Committee, 10th National People's Congress Mr. Shu Huiguo; President, China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation; and Chairman, Chinese Association of Agricultural Economists Mr. Duan Yingbi; Vice Chairperson, Subcommittee of Financial and Economic Affairs, Standing Committee, 11th National People's Congress Ms Wu Xiaoling; Member of the Party's Leading Group in and Director-General of Research Department of Rural Economy, Development Research Center of the State Council Mr. Han Jun; State Secretary, Prime Minister's Office in Norway Mrs. Kjersti Markusson; Ambassador, Norwegian Embassy in Beijing Mr. Svein Ole Sæther; Consul General, Royal Norwegian Consulate General Guangzhou Mr. Tormod Cappelen Endresen. The total participants are nearly 300 from National Ministries, national policy research institute, institution of higher learning, and the leaders and experts from more than 20 provinces.
